Yeah we are finally moving to our new apartment. Yesterday we got our tv/computers/desks and kitchen table moved over as well as our entertainment center and alot more boxes. Today is so busy that we won't have the opportunity to move, but Saterday is the big day.. the day we finaly move EVERYTHING to the new apartment. I am excited about it but at the same time a little nervous.
God is so good though and I have been watching the little girls in our church and you know.. I didnt want to have a girl because of the drama but the more I watch them and remember how funny they can be I am getting more excited. Kayla a 5 yr old in my church came up to me on Wednesday and rubbed my stomach. "Mrs Joy, is your baby doing alright.. i can't hear her!" I assured her that she was fine and then she asked me what I was going to name the baby. I told her what me and Chris have decided on, Reyna. "But mrs Joy you should name her Kayla because that is the best name that any girl can have" To which I responded that If I named her kayla then I may get confused on which kayla I wanted. She asked me" What color hair does she have?" I smiled and told her that I didn't know.. that it could be blonde like hers or brown or even red... she got excited when I said that. "Red hair! Then you HAVE to call her Dawson because Dawson has red hair. (Dawson is her younger brother). *giggles* I told her that it was a boy's name but she was insistent that if my daughter has red hair it has to be called Dawson because obviously everyone with red hair has to be have that name.
Oh it was such a funny moment and I had to tell her mom who laughed at it as well. I think that in the mind of this 5 yr old, there are only certian names you can use.Well yesterday I was talking to her mom and I heard kayla in the background telling her mom that Mrs Joy is going to name her baby girl Dawson because she has red hair. *giggles* I just laughed and listened as her mom tried to correct her without laughing at her outright.. though she did laugh later.
I think having a daughter will be good though because its so much easier to buy girl things.. just to have to find things that are modest. I dont' want the short skirts that the teens wear now days for a young girl.
Ok.. so now that we are moving into a two bedroom apartment and I can decorate the baby room I am excited. I am getting things ready in my mind with what I want to do with the room and I'm so excited. I am going to paint butterflys on the wall with lady bugs and flowers... I love painting so this is a fun project for me to do while I get things for Reyna. I am glad that we are moving because I am going to an apartment where the AC actually works.!! I have been like a walking sauna and its only getting hotter outside with the stoppage of the rain. Now don't get me wrong I know that we needed the rain to stop because of all the flooding and deaths but at the same time it was the only thing keeping the tempurture at a bearable level. Oh well I guess that is the price you pay for marrying a Texan! :D *I am truly happy I am married to him though, even if he does like the hot weather.*
Anyways.. I have pictures to post.. once I can get my home computer up and running saterday or sunday.. yeah for pictures.
