This is me at the first day of my ninth month. My belly was so big i couldn't see my toes..which surprises me now as I can see my toes because of my precious daughter who finally decided it was time to be born.Reyna was born @ 7:31 pm on the 5th of December 2007. She is so sweet and wonderful and doesn't cry often. She is very observant about things going on around her. She was born 8 pounds 1.6 ounces and was 20 inches long.. and though she was a decently good size baby, she still gets swallowed up in her little clothes.
This picture is when we were leaving the hospital and Chris and I had prayed with her... when we put her in the car seat she folded her hands together and it was just so adorable. Already getting her used to praying. :D This was the only day she had the pacifier that the nurses gave her which was good for the ride home... but it has since been disposed of.
She is breastfeeding very well and I had a little reworking to do because of the pacifier... but it didn't cause too much harm.
Here is Chris and Reyna... I am so proud of Chris. He was able to stay in the delivery room without passing out and has been a huge help since Reyna's birth. I'll tell the story of the laboring part later, but for now I am just so glad that Chris has been such a good father to Reyna... and I love seeing him hold her.
She is now 6 days old and doing well. She is very healthy and its mommy (me) that the doctors were worried about... but I have been home and doing well.. though I have to take things extremely slow and not over due anything. Chris had to travel out of town for 4 days for some training at work. He will be back this Thursday. It has been hard not having him here, but I am so blessed that my sister is here to help me.
Some ladies at church have been stopping by with dinner every night. What a blessing God is to us. Its just amazing how God created such a blessing to me and Chris and I am so glad that I am honored with the chance to raise this little one.
I love just watching her sleep and watching her look at the world around her.. its so precious.
CONGRATULATIONS!! Wow, Reyna is just precious....that picture of her with her hands folded is SO adorable. I was so happy to hear that she is hear healthy & safe and it sounds like you are doing well. All the best!!
